Mato Zedníček or Vlad was part of the production of the biggest SK/CZ reality shows like Love Island or Farma

Do you know the eternally drunk Vlad in overalls who doesn't even know where he is most of the time? So exactly the same Vlad participated in the creation of Farma or Love Island. Cool though? We think so too. Of course, Vlad's alter ego is only a fictional character played by Maťo Zedníček mostly in videos on the PPPeter channel. In fact, Maťo is a very experienced content creator, with rich experience in the field of production. We decided to uncover Maťa's professional side and interview him. Read what big projects he worked on and what all is hidden behind a big production.

Hello Maťa, we know about you that, in addition to making YouTube videos, you also participated in the production of big reality shows such as Farma or Love Island. How long have you been working on such large projects and how did you get

What do you think is the biggest difference between reality shows and YouTube videos?

"Youtube videos are a very simple creation (in most cases), their production itself is not difficult, and the person is a one-man show. He invents, directs, films, edits and publishes the whole thing. On the other on the other hand the reality show Love Island has over 100 people working for 2.5 months plus the casting is done by people 6 months in advance. In other words it is so complicated that there has to be a person for everything. From cleaning the villa to site visits to the directors individual departments."

What was the most surprising thing for you when filming big shows?

"What surprised me the most was the number of people working on the Love Island show for 2.5 months. It's a really big responsibility to make content for two nations."

What do you enjoy most about TV projects and what about YouTube videos?

"I am very happy that I can be a part of the largest Czech and Slovak production. I really like the fact that you can show what you know in the right place on television projects. If someone notices you, you have potential for the future. On Youtube what I like most is freedom. You can put out whatever you come up with and no one limits you."

Would you sign up for a reality show?

"I would sign up for a reality show if I didn't have a girlfriend, but I would sign up for Survivor. I think it's very hard to switch off from the normal stereotype for 3 months these days . No social networks, no robots, problems, worries, nothing. Just the present moment, and that's what participating in a reality show would bring me."

Which YouTube video, your own or another, in which you participated is your favorite and proud of it?

"Personally, I only have one video that I go back to, and that's the backstage video from the farm. Otherwise, I don't watch my videos after a while, because somehow I stop liking them and I see what I would do it differently and better, and without that there would be no progress."

What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting a YouTube channel?

"I would advise a person who wants to make videos on YouTube only one thing. Do it differently than others and make such content that when you look at it in 5 years you will say to yourself that it is not pi* ****. It's great to be inspired, but you have to have your own handwriting. :)"

Do you have any new plans for your YouTube channel Vlad?

"In 2022, I want to launch YouTube fully. Since I have thinned out the things in my life to which I sacrifice my time, I realized that YouTube is a platform that I really enjoy and I believe that the people who follow me also enjoy it . :)"

We know about you that you work with cars and they are your great hobby. Can we expect you to create Slovak Top Gear in the future? (or generally some content about cars)

"I don't think that I will create Slovak top gear, but I would like to do things that are more complex in terms of production, which I think are very much in their infancy in Slovakia and, above all, nobody does it here. :)"

What simple set up for shooting videos would you recommend to a complete beginner? (camera/microphone)

"If someone wants to start making videos on YouTube, the most important thing is really high-quality sound. I myself sometimes use a shot that is blurry, but it has great content thanks to the sound. So I would look at the brand of a high-quality microphone rode and to begin with at least one light ratio price performance ring light is fine to begin with :) and I had a Canon 700D camera to begin with it's rich enough and it's a certainty that you won't mess anything up. I would really avoid shooting video on my phone. : )"
