Eugen and Peter took their Škoda Felicia to places most people wouldn't dare even in the latest SUVs. First, they braved the inhuman cold of Oymyakon in Siberia, where temperatures drop to -50°C. And when it seemed they couldn't push the limits any further, they headed to the opposite end of the spectrum, to Death Valley in California. "Death Valley, USA – the hottest place in the world! 45 days, 18,500 km, +51°C without air conditioning," they described their journey. Their adventure did not end there and they continued to Deadhorse – the northernmost point of Alaska that can be reached by car.

Death Valley

After Siberia, Eugen and Peter decided to visit the hottest place on earth, Death Valley, with Felicia. Their journey took 45 days and covered 18,500 kilometers across the United States. The thermometer showed up to +51 °C and the air conditioning in the car definitely broke down in these conditions. Nevertheless, the 1990s Felicia managed to cope with conditions that would challenge even modern cars. "Death Valley, USA - the hottest place in the world! 45 days, 18,500 km, +51 °C without air conditioning," the guys wrote on Instagram.

Their adventure didn't end with Death Valley. The next goal was to reach the northernmost point of Alaska, where a public road leads. This meant covering a total of more than 30,000 kilometers across the continent.

All of this was preceded by getting Felicia to America. They had to ship it - Felicia spent 16 days in a container and 40 days passed from handing it over in Europe to picking it up in the USA. Only then could their most daring expedition begin.

Omyakon – the Pole of Cold

Their adventures did not begin in America, but much earlier. Their first documented journeys are from 2023, called GUMBALKAN, i.e. a journey through the Balkans. However, their most famous journey was from 2024, when Eugen and Peter set off to Omyakon in Siberia, the coldest inhabited place in the world, where temperatures drop to -70 °C. For Felicia, it was a test that few would have expected her to survive. However, the entire expedition would not have been possible without the support of people through the Donio platform.

The expedition to Oymyakon was a huge success. After returning, they released a series of videos that gained thousands of viewers and admirers. It was this journey that made them visible and opened the door to further expeditions and laid the foundation for their American adventure - from Death Valley to Alaska.

Felicia survived what few would have expected - from minus seventy degrees in Oymyakon in Siberia to plus fifty-one in Death Valley in America. Eugen and Peter thus showed that real adventure is not based on expensive technology or luxurious equipment, but on courage. Are you looking forward to a series of videos from the USA?
