News on the Community tab
The Community tab is used to connect you as a creator with the fans who follow you. Now you can add up to five images at once and create a typical slideshow similar to Instagram.
From now on you can create not only a text survey, but also an image survey. Polls on YouTube have a high impact, so we definitely recommend you to use them, and now you can also enrich them with images. Try asking viewers what video they want next, what they liked about the last one, or consult with them about which merch design is the most beautiful.

New Reward Chapter in Shorts
Youtube started rewarding its creators financially in 2007, when it launched the YPP (YouTube Partner Program) partnership program. Over the past three years, the platform has paid more than $50 billion to creators.
They recently introduced another chapter of rewards when they announced new ways to earn on their site.
There are currently more than two million partners in YPP and YouTube offers 10 ways to earn money.
At the beginning of next year, creators with focusing on Shorts videos.
Criteria for a successful connection include a thousand subscribers and 10 million Shorts views.
New partners will be able to benefit from YPP and earn through advertising on videos or using Fan Funding (Super chat, Stickers, Thanks, Membership).
And how will it work?
Beginning in 2023, Shorts creators will be entitled to a revenue share - they will keep 45% of the earnings based on their share of the total number of views of the Shorts.
Ads will appear between videos in the Shorts Feed. Each month, the revenue from these ads is tallied, distributed to the creators, and helps pay for the licenses for the music used.
Thanks to this, creators don't have to worry about whether or not to use the licensed music.
Notice: As a creator, you will have to accept the new terms of the contract if you want to earn from Shorts. You will receive a challenge during January, so don't forget about it. If you successfully confirm the conditions, your Shorts can officially earn money from February 1, 2023.
Give long videos a second chance in Shorts
We, too, on our TikTok put memorable moments from YT right there and thanks to that they get brand new ones audience. You can now also do that in Shorts - you can create a short clip directly from a long video, which can get new views.
How to do it?
Open the YouTube app on your mobile, choose a video from your channel, click on Edit into a Short and select a part with a length of up to 60 seconds.
New possibilities for using music
You certainly know that music in videos is alpha and omega. Without it, the video has no life. It can enrich even boring vacation footage or add variety to your commentary in the background.
Complexity in licensing, however, often ended up with the author not being paid for the video, which led to demotivation and in many cases to unfairness.
Youtube has a new trying to create a kind of bridge between the music industry and creators. They want to better define how music can be presented in videos.
That's why they recently introduced Creator Music, a new destination in YouTube Studio.
It's an ever-expanding catalog of music available for creators of long videos.
They can purchase affordable high-quality music licenses that will allow them to fully monetize their video.
What about those who don't want to buy licenses?
They will still be able to fully use the music from the catalog, but they will split the revenue with the rights holder of the music. Creator Music is currently in beta in the US and will reach more countries in 2023.
